Mary Stewart-Holmes is a third-year law student at New York Law School. She is also a #1 international best-selling author of three books, motivational speaker, mentor, and book writing coach. She is a sought after trusted authority on life after adversity and women’s empowerment. Mary has been endorsed by the likes of Valerie Jarrett, former Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama; and CT State Senator Marilyn Moore.
She is also the award-winning CEO of Blue Wing and a Prayer, Inc. and Co-Founder of Triumph Community Outreach, Inc., providing community services to underprivileged and marginalized youth and families. It is her desire to help those who feel helpless and be a voice for the voiceless. This passion led her to pursue her legal career, with an interest in International Public Interest Law. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Arts in Theology. In 2017 she was awarded an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree for her extensive humanitarian contributions.
Mary is a New York Law School student ambassador, an associate at the New York Law School Center for International Law, a student liaison for the Faculty Appointments Committee, a volunteer for the Courtroom Advocates Project and a volunteer for the Post-Conviction Innocence Clinic. She currently volunteers as a student teacher at the Charter High School for Law and Social Justice, teaching criminal law to eleventh graders.
Mary recently received the Mid-Atlantic Region Equal Justice Works Public Interest Award for leveraging her law school career to further her commitment to community.
