Janna Perry

Third-Year Law Student

    Janna Perry is a third-year law student at Vanderbilt Law School in Nashville, TN. Janna serves as the President of the Law School’s Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion Council where she works with each of the school’s affinity groups. Janna is also an active member of the Black Law Students Association, where she served as Vice President for the 2021-2022 academic year. Prior to starting law school, Janna worked for the national non-profit organization, Girls Inc., at the Long Island affiliate site. Janna is a native New Yorker – having lived in Buffalo, Syracuse and most recently on Long Island. She graduated cum laude from Spelman College in Atlanta, GA, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Sociology. While at Spelman, Janna had the honor of being crowned Miss Spelman College 2017-2018. Professionally, Janna is interested Environmental, Social, and corporate Governance (ESG), with a focus on Diversity & Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility. During her 1L summer, Janna was the Legal Intern with AFLAC Inc. for their Worldwide Headquarters. Most recently, Janna spent her 2L summer as the Labor Relations Intern for The Walt Disney Company/ABC Inc., in NYC. On a personal note, Janna is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated and in her spare time you can find her traveling, spending time with friends and family and streaming Renaissance by Beyoncé.
