Christina R. Kirk is a native of Nashville, TN. After dropping out of high school, Christina earned a Bachelor’s of Arts from Fisk University and Juris Doctorate from University of Tulsa, School of Law. For 14 years, Christina practiced family and special education law. In 2016, Christina entered the public school system as an English teacher, which she believes is truly her calling. She also currently sits as Municipal Court Judge for Langston and Coyle, Oklahoma.
Christina is a college preparation expert. In dedication to her mentor, Dr. Olgesby, Christina founded Prep U to encourage young ladies to pursue education. In 2013, Christina honored her mentor and shared her story of inspiration and overcoming obstacles on the Steve Harvey Show launching her to a national platform for youth education. The first graduating class of just four Prep U seniors received over $1 million dollars in scholarship offers.
Christina is the proud mother of Déja, with whom she co-authored, Developing DIVAs. Christina is also a contributing author in Reflections on Purpose and Brilliant Awakening. In 2017, Christina published Preparing Your Child for College workbook.
Christina’s guiding life principle is to be the person she needed when she was growing up to someone else.
