Demarquin Johnson is currently a joint degree student at Harvard Law School and Harvard Kennedy School of Government, where he focuses his academic studies on the intersection of race, democracy, and law. He serves in leadership roles across the campus, including as Co-President of the Harvard Black Graduate Student Alliance, Co-President of the Harvard Law School Reparatory Justice Initiative, and Editor-in-Chief of the Harvard Kennedy School Journal of African American Policy. Before matriculating at Harvard, Demarquin was a Democracy Fellow at FairVote. He advocated for structural electoral reforms to ensure a more inclusive and efficient democracy at the local, state, and national level. He is a summa cum laude graduate of Howard University.
