Dara Ferguson (she/her) is a third-year law student from Cambria Heights (Queens), New York. She attended Davidson College for her undergraduate studies, majoring in Africana Studies and Political Science. While at Davidson, she was Student Body President, First Vice President of the Upsilon Mu Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and a Resident Advisor. Dara is a Decade Representative on the Davidson Alumni Board and a Mentor in the Msaada Mentorship Program at Davidson College.
Before attending Harvard Law, Dara worked at Bloomberg LP as an Equity and Research Specialist and Data Compliance Officer in Product Oversight. Additionally, she worked on the Financial Products Diversity Taskforce to bring equity and change to the Black community at Bloomberg.
For the past two summers, Dara worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, first as a 1L Scholar and then as a Summer Associate. Upon graduating from Harvard Law School, Dara will be returning to work for Skadden as a full-time Associate.
At Harvard Law School, Dara is the President of the Harvard Black Law Students Association and was previously a Mentor in the Greener Scott Scholars Program and the Internal Vice President of HBLSA
